I began my photographic journey 13 years ago while living in a very remote small Canadian town, where it snows 9 months of the year. I have raised 4 children virtually by myself while my husband worked away for months at a time. My wonderful firstborn was born with very high special needs and was machine fed via tube hooked into his stomach for years.

During my personal struggles I worked very hard to perfect my craft. I diligently practiced, trying new methods and slowly I was able to build my clientele and eventually branch out internationally. I am blessed beyond words to have the recognition as one of the worlds top maternity photographers and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

What makes this accomplishment so important to me, is that I did this myself.  I had a vision and was able to slowly develop it to fruition. I did not have a giant studio or the resources to purchase a ton of equipment, but it was eventually possible from perseverance.

I now have the opportunity to travel the world and teach other photographers what I have learned through the years. Not only on how to photograph maternity, but on how to build a sustainable business. I am able to run my household, spend quality time with my incredible family, travel to teach, AND continue to take clients!
